Art as a Vocation

The project “Art as a Vocation” is intended to promote and increase the visibility of the artwork of six young artists with disabilities who have chosen art as their life-long vocation.

The new section on this website – “Art as a Vocation” – was created in cooperation with the Elementary and Secondary Boarding School “Milan Petrović” from Novi Sad. The School uses the Inclusive Galery website to promote accessible art on the digital platform.

Digitized artworks and video documentation for six author portfolios are presented: Jelena Damnjanović, Marko Krasula, Mihajlo Petrović, Marko Rošulov, Dario Leiter, and Lazar Arsenin. Also, there are two digital galleries consisting of sculptures made from recycled metal waste produced by students in the school’s machine workshop in cooperation with teachers Mihajlo Kanjuh, Slavko Dinić and Veljko Bursć. Nonetheless, there is visual documentation including the artworks of other School users. These artworks were created during the previous five years in the projects performed under the mentorship of artists Dejan Jankov, Nataša Murga Savić, Nela Kovačević Milutinović and Jovan Marković.

All the presented authors have developed an artistic practice with a strong contemporary sensibility that is recognized among experts and in artistic circles. Their works have been exhibited in Novi Sad, Belgrade, as well as at international art exhibitions of people with disabilities.
